The SafeWalk® Smart Crosswalk Illuminator is designed to drastically increase the visibility of vulnerable road users at night. Ideal for poorly lit crossing locations, the enhancement utilizes a combination of beam and floodlight LEDs to maximize visibility distance and increase driver yield rates.
SafeWalk® offers customizable lighting and lane configuration, with three lighting modes and coverage on up to four lanes of traffic. Any TAPCO Smart Crosswalk can be easily supplemented with SafeWalk®, with Smart Hub connectivity available to make remote adjustments — as well as view the health and status of enhancements.

LED LIGHTING TECHNOLOGY
Each SafeWalk® Smart Crosswalk Illuminator is equipped with a unique combination of LEDs: A floodlight to illuminate vulnerable road users and a powerful LED beam to highlight the crosswalk. Opt for one of three lighting modes depending on your crosswalk’s needs — all designed to meet the 20-lux minimum recommended by the FHWA.
Adjustable brackets allow for precise light focus at any crosswalk.
RECTANGULAR RAPID-FLASHING BEACONS
Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) provide drivers real-time warning when pedestrians are in or about to enter an approaching crosswalk.
This popular, MUTCD-compliant LED enhancement is proven to increase driver yield rates by as much as 90% at uncontrolled pedestrian crossings.
BLINKERBEACON™
BlinkerBeacons provide drivers real-time warning when vulnerable road users are in or about to enter approaching crosswalks.
MUTCD-compliant options are available. Leverage 8" or 12" LED modules, ITE-compliant 12V power and cut or tunnel visors.
BLINKERSIGN®
The BlinkerSign® provides drivers with real-time warnings when pedestrians are in or about to enter an approaching crosswalk. This popular, MUTCD-compliant option heightens driver awareness in a variety of applications, including school zone crossings, multi-lane uncontrolled crossings and high-speed pedestrian crossings.
Edge-lit and engineered to capture drivers' attention, each BlinkerSign® is MUTCD-compliant and flashes in accordance with MUTCD section 2A.07.
VizMark® PAVEMENT MARKING ENHANCEMENT
Designed to maximize pedestrian safety at night, the VizMark® Pavement Marking Enhancement System illuminates crosswalk and advance stop and/or yield lines. The enhancement elevates visibility in any setting, with precise markings that help motorists identify where to stop and yield.
VizMark® can be used in up to four lanes of traffic and offers quick and easy installation onto any existing sign or system. Available color options include white, yellow and red for a variety of applications.
