Revenue Devices

Revenue Control Equipment and Devices ensure accurate revenue income for any facility. Designed to protect against losses incurred from in-house pilferage and patron accountability, we stand behind our systems from specification through continued operation.

Your parking operation is only as efficient as your management system. Today a medium size 250-space parking area can generate over $600,000 in revenue every year. Strong revenue controls can be worth 5% to 15% of this total. Specialized control devices are required to collect, monitor and audit the revenues generated in a parking facility. An ordinary cash register, even a popular brand model, is the wrong tool to manage these parking revenues. You simply cannot afford unsupervised cash transactions, inaccurate vehicle counts, errors in rate structures, and inappropriate audit controls based on retail requirements. With today's complex rate schedules, varying daily maximums and early bird discounts, you need a comprehensive, yet powerful, fee computer capable of handling your unique requirements.

Merchant Validator Revenue Device from TAPCO

Merchant Validator
The SST Merchant Validator is an offline, non-powered device that allows parking facilities to offer time, fee and/or percentage discounts for up to 624 merchant accounts. The Merchant Validator can be used at shopping malls with controlled parking, downtown retailers, universities, hospitals and for other applications.

As a patron makes a purchase, the cashier takes the ticket, inserts it into the Merchant Validator, advances it to the next available validation zone and punches the code into the ticket while imprinting the ticket with an ink stamp. This provides the ability of any merchant to offer a unique incentive to patrons for discounted parking. The patron can collect as many as four validations per ticket. When the validated ticket is fed into an SST Ticket Validator or Automatic Pay Station, the SST transport reads the ticket and sends the discount data to the Auditor PowerPad Fee Computer. The Auditor PowerPad then processes the merchant and fee discount information, eliminating the need to manually enter the information.

  • Manually operated device provides time, fee and/or percentage discounts
