After several years of research and development, the engineers who tackled this monumental recycling problem finally arrived at an overhead gantry and shuttle table system driven by a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) which moves a unique water head across the signs.

From the head is forced a stream of water at 36,000 pounds per square inch, literally blasting laminates into small fragments while leaving the underlying aluminum surface clean and smooth.

Environmentally Friendly
Particles of laminate blasted from the sign blank are drawn by vacuum to a container for proper disposal. Excess water is filtered and recycled for additional use. Analysis of solids allows for totally safe, non-hazardous disposal.

SIGN REFURBISHING FROM TAPCO When you contract us for delamination, your signs are palletized, coded, and stored in a rack system (1) that ensures fast turn around. Our versatile X-Y table is computer-controlled for precise removal of all laminates (2), with alternating tables making the process fast and clean (3). Every scrap of old laminate material is blasted away from the underlying blank (4) by ultra-high pressure water, and the scrap laminate is carried away by a vacuum hose (5) that empties into a specially-deigned waste handler to separate the water and laminates for environmentally-safe disposal. Final cleaning (6) of your blank sleeves a rack of material ready for banding (7), palletizing and shipping back to your locations.
