The RU2 Fast 250 is a permanent or semi-permanent mounted radar speed sign. This unit is ideal for parking garages, apartment complexes, or small community streets where speeding is a problem. Some major advantages of using this unit in place of speed bumps is the elimination of liability caused by speed bumps due to damage to vehicles, and emergency vehicles are not slowed down on their way to a call.
The RU2 System has your pole mount traffic calming needs covered with our unique pole mount radar speed display signs. Mounted permanently or semi-permanently, these high intensity LED displays get the attention of oncoming drivers. The signs can be directly hard-wired to your electric service or optionally powered by a portable battery system or solar power system.
Each of these designs feature a full matrix high intensity LED display with 12" characters. The 12" character is appropriate for slower speeds (sub 45mph) and is readable to 750 ft.
The RU2 Fast 400 is an over/under sign that has a changeable speed limit as well as he oncoming vehicle speed display. This sign is ideal for school zones, constructions zones or streets where the speed limit changes on a regular basis. In addition, several Violator Alerts are available including an embedded "SLOW" message and flashing Red/Blue bars, particularly effective at night.
