LED. Flashing Safety Vest
Meets ANSI-107 Class 2
This Flashing LED. Safety Vest reduces risks in hazardous low-light environments by continuously emitting bright flashing Red LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) that can be seen up to a half mile, depending on weather conditions and line-of-sight.

The 16 red (660nm) high-intensity LEDs (eight on the front and eight on the back flash 65 – 70 times per minute for 240 continuous hours on two fully-charged AA alkaline batteries that are housed in an inside pouch. Clear plastic domed lenses project the light and safeguard the LEDs from impact. Bright reflective 2 3/8" inch strips on the front, back and sides make the vest ideal for daylight and indoor use, too. Sealed seams protect electronics from moisture. An internally-mounted switch located on the front of the vest activates the LEDs. The vest with power pack and batteries weighs 12.2 ounces.

The vest has neon orange vinyl-coated mesh and fluorescent yellow-green solid vinyl strips that encompass the red LEDs. The one-size-fits-all vest features velcro straps on each side as well as the front that makes this vest easy to adjust for a snug, comfortable fit.

In addition, the velcro side straps pull the vest around the wearer's body to provide 360º visibility.The continuous strobe warning lights provide extra protection to nighttime road construction crews, traffic-control personnel, emergency response teams and parking attendants, who are three times more likely to be injured by a motor vehicle than their daytime counterparts. The vest’s pliable fabrics allow it to be folded for easy storage.

Solid-state design renders the LEDs impervious to shock, vibration, frequent switching and environmental extremes. With an average life span of 100,000- plus hours (11 years), the LED lamps operate more than 20 times longer than the equivalent incandescent lamp! Savings from reduced maintenance costs and downtime quickly return the capital investment expenditure. LED lamps produce almost no heat and require 80-90% less operating power than equivalent incandescents, making them as friendly to the environment as they are to the operating budget.
