ScanNet Facility Management System
Federal APD's ScanNet system is a user friendly, menu driven program allowing you to manage your entire parking facility or facilities securely from a central location, whether you are in the office next door or across the country. It is a turnkey package providing central management integration for parking installations of all sizes, from modest surface lots to wide-area networking systems. ScanNet uses open architecture, industry-standard tools, making it the most flexible system on the market for parking and ground transportation control.

ScanNet is a field-proven, fully interactive facility management system that lets you monitor, control and develop reports on all activities in your facility. Parking, access and revenue controls are bundled together as one seamless enterprise system. You get the big picture, complete with all the current data and statistics, allowing you to make management decisions based on timely, accurate information.

The Report Generator provides standard or custom designed reports, comprehensive fInancial tracking and reporting. You can also access the database tables to configure reports from most popular shrink-wrap report writers. This allows you to enter and edit payments and charges, generate accounting and transaction reports, and set up accounts.

The Event Control System (ECS) is based on a 32-bit, multi-asking operating system with the ability to communicate simultaneously to many programs. The architecture is made up of multiple layers for processing information to manage the information generated from all of your traffic lane equipment, including Auditor PowerPad Fee Computers, Automatic Pay Stations, and Card Xpress readers, Barrier gates and Fee Computers. All of their features and functions can be customized to your specific parameters.

Through the ECS, specific information coming into the system is targeted as an "event". Programming and incrementing may be specified based on the desired action, giving you unlimited flexibility in providing control solutions across your enterprise. You define the control variables for each lane controller in the system and the device's tasks - such as controlling transient and monthly parkers, raising a gate arm, automatically triggering a full sign, or activating a directional sign - while storing all the information in the database for real-time and statistical reporting.

ScanNet's Revenue Control provides a complete accounting of all the activities generated by revenue control devices. Pull down screens show remote programming and monitoring of transactions from your revenue control devices. Fee tables, rate structures, and other programming specifications can be designed and tested on the central PC and then batch loaded to all the devices in the network. Point-of-sale revenues can be integrated with the general ledger.
