Traditional manual or mechanical transactions require drivers to stop, roll down their windows, fumble for change, swipe a magnetic stripe card, wave a proximity card, or punch a keypad to gain access. But our nonstop system lets vehicles flow quickly through gates and controlled entrances. Quicker entry and exit from facilities means more convenience for parkers. AVI technology identifies a moving object through the use of electronic rather than optical or magnetic means. A small electronic Tag is attached to an object such as a railcar, container, or vehicle. When the object approaches a Reader, an identification code is retrieved electronically from the Tag. The Reader then relays the identification code to a computerized management system. Tags can be read at distances from a few millimeters to over 235 feet and at speeds up to 180 mph.

Maintenance Free. Non-battery Tags receive all their power from the incoming Reader signal, have no parts to replace or wear out, and can last indefinitely. Battery powered Tags, with a greater reading range, have a life expectancy of more than eight years.

AVI allows patrons to park at the airport, downtown garages, sports arena, company's parking facility; drive on a toll road or through a car wash; pick up dinner from a fast food restaurant and open the gate to the gated community.

In the parking industry, Automatic Vehicle ldentification (AVI) refers to automatic identification of a vehicle when it enters a parking facility so it can be authorized for entry/or exit.
