1.Signs on demand. Signs can be made immediately,
especially including special signs whose cost would be
prohibitive to buy from an outside supplier.
2.Reduced Liability. Signs can be fabricated and installed
in a much more timely manner after knock-downs,
vandalism or acts of God.
3. Inventory reduction. The above can be accomplished
with a minimum sign inventory.
4. Cross-departmental function. Signs can be readily
fabricated for other departments, including:
Parks, Streets, Traffic, Police, City Signage, City
Vehicle Decals and Interior Signage.
5.Increased sign life. Superior materials and methods
used in the sign manufacturing process can increase
sign durability, extending life cycle and effectively
reducing long-term costs of sign replacement.
6.Flexibility. Street Name and directional signage can be
modified (legend, size and blank dimensions) to meet
requirements. Ability to convert to metric if change is
mandated.
7. Project signage. Can fabricate construction workzone
signs suited for local projects. Can change signage as
project dictates: detours, road closures and signage to
protect city work crews.

We compared the costs of manufacturing street name signs using the process of heat application of the sheeting and die cut
letters versus the cost of manufacturing using TAPCO’s Traffic System and EC Film. Here’s a cost comparison of the two

Thus we save over $23.00 per street name sign using TAPCO’s Traffic System and EC Film. We manufacture approximately
350 street name signs per year, saving us over $8,300.00 per year on street name signs alone. Those savings will increase
as we become more familiar with the processes.
The added savings we will realize for producing other signs, decals and banners using TAPCO’s Traffic System will easily
pay for the system in 1 1/2 to 2 years’ time.
